Community Rules
MC Monitor Community Rules — Last updated: June 20, 2026
In short
• Be honest. Votes, tag ratings, and server info must reflect reality — not what you were paid to say.
• One account. Multiple accounts to game the system → all accounts get suspended.
• No bots. Automated voting, rating, or data collection is prohibited.
• Respect the platform. Don't try to manipulate rankings, scrape data, or break things.
• Own your server. If you list a server, you are responsible for the information you submit.
• Something went wrong? Write us at [email protected] — we'll look into it.
1. General Principles
1.1. These Community Rules ("Rules") are an integral part of our Terms of Service. Using the Platform means you agree to these Rules.
1.2. MC Monitor is a directory, not a game or a community forum. Our Rules are about keeping data honest and rankings fair — not policing personal expression. We apply minimal intervention.
1.3. These Rules apply to all interactive features: voting, tag ratings, IP copy behavior, and server promotion submissions.
2. Voting
2.1. How Voting Works
Registered users may cast one vote per server per day. Votes contribute to a server's monthly ranking. Voting is free and always will be.
2.2. What Honest Voting Looks Like
- You vote from your own personal device;
- You vote because you genuinely like or play on that server;
- One account, one vote per server per day — full stop.
2.3. What Is Prohibited
- Voting from multiple accounts;
- Using bots, scripts, browser automation, VPNs, proxies, or IP rotation to cast votes;
- Paying others to vote for your server (vote exchanges, task farms, paid campaigns);
- Coordinating group vote-boosting campaigns for any server;
- Any other artificial manipulation of vote counts or rankings.
2.4. What Happens if We Detect Manipulation
We use automated and manual methods to detect vote manipulation. When we detect it, we may — at our sole discretion, without notice, and without obligation to disclose our methods:
- Nullify some or all votes for the server (both fraudulent and legitimate ones);
- Remove the server from vote-based rankings;
- Permanently disable voting for that server;
- Suspend the accounts involved.
These measures do not automatically affect paid Promotions. See Section 6 of the Terms of Service. You may appeal any measure by emailing [email protected].
3. Tag Ratings
3.1. What Tag Ratings Are
Registered users may like (👍) or dislike (👎) gameplay tags on server pages to help other players assess how accurately a tag describes a server. Tag rating is a community accuracy tool.
3.2. Honest Ratings
- Rate tags only based on your genuine experience with the server;
- A "like" means the tag accurately describes the server; a "dislike" means it does not;
- One rating per tag per server per account.
3.3. Prohibited
- Rating tags from multiple accounts;
- Using bots or scripts to mass-rate tags;
- Coordinating bulk positive or negative tag campaigns;
- Rating tags to damage a competitor's server in bad faith.
4. Server Owner Responsibilities
4.1. If you list or promote a server on MC Monitor, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate server information (name, description, IP, game modes, version);
- Ensuring the server operates in compliance with Mojang Studios' Minecraft EULA and Commercial Usage Guidelines;
- Ensuring the server's content is lawful in its operating jurisdiction;
- Notifying us at [email protected] if your server shuts down or is transferred.
4.2. You may not submit:
- A false or fictitious server listing;
- Content that violates applicable law;
- Misleading information designed to attract players under false pretenses.
4.3. Server descriptions may be edited automatically by our systems for formatting. Factual inaccuracies may be corrected; we are not required to display descriptions verbatim.
5. Account Rules
- One person = one account. Creating additional accounts is prohibited and grounds for suspending all linked accounts.
- You may not create a new account after a previous one was suspended.
- You may not impersonate MC Monitor, its staff, other users, or any real person or organization.
- Do not register with a temporary or disposable email address.
6. Prohibited Conduct (All Features)
6.1. Across all Platform features, the following are prohibited:
- Using bots, crawlers, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the Platform or collect data without written permission;
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, databases, or other users' accounts;
- Submitting false, defamatory, or misleading information about any server;
- Advertising third-party services in any context without our prior written consent;
- Exploiting or attempting to exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended features of the Platform;
- Violating any applicable law or regulation.
7. Enforcement
7.1. When we identify a violation or have reasonable grounds to suspect one, we may apply one or more of the following measures:
- Nullify votes or tag ratings;
- Remove the server from vote-based or tag-based rankings;
- Suspend or permanently terminate account access;
- Disable specific features (voting, tag rating) for an account or server;
- Remove server listings from the directory.
7.2. We are not required to apply measures in a fixed sequence. Serious violations — confirmed manipulation campaigns, fraudulent server listings — may result in immediate permanent suspension.
7.3. A single failed validation (e.g., a vote flagged by our system) is not itself a enforcement action. Measures are applied for confirmed or systematic violations.
7.4. For account suspensions: any refund of active Promotion amounts follows the Refund Policy.
7.5. Applying or not applying a measure in one case does not create a precedent or obligation to act the same way in future cases. Each case is reviewed individually.
8. Appeals
8.1. If you believe a measure was applied in error, email [email protected] with a written explanation of your appeal. We will review it and respond within 10 business days.
8.2. Our decision after reviewing an appeal is final within the Platform's internal process. Nothing in this section limits your legal rights under applicable law.
9. Changes to These Rules
9.1. We may update these Rules at any time. Changes take effect upon publication at mc-monitor.app/community-rules. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
