Best Crossplay Servers (Java + Bedrock Together)
Normally Java and Bedrock players can't play together — they're different codebases. But crossplay servers bridge that gap with a proxy, letting PC and console/mobile players share one world. Here's how it works and how to find these servers.
Why Java and Bedrock don't mix by default
Java Edition (PC/Mac/Linux) and Bedrock Edition (console, mobile, Windows 10/11) speak different network protocols. A plain Java server rejects Bedrock clients and vice versa. That's why most server lists separate them — see our Java vs Bedrock guide.
How crossplay servers work
Crossplay servers run a plugin/proxy like Geyser (and often Floodgate) that translates between the two protocols. Java players connect normally; Bedrock players connect through the proxy and appear as regular players. From the player's seat, it just works.
Finding crossplay servers
Look for servers that advertise “crossplay” or “Java + Bedrock.” Many list both a Java port (25565) and a Bedrock port (19132). Our Bedrock and Java tag pages surface communities; crossplay ones usually mention it in their description.
