BedWars vs SkyWars — Difference Explained
BedWars and SkyWars are the two most popular Minecraft PvP minigames, and they're often confused. Both drop you on floating islands to fight, but the win condition is completely different. Here's the breakdown.
SkyWars: last one standing
Each player (or team) starts on a small floating island with a chest of loot. You bridge across to middle and other islands, fighting until only one survivor remains. There's no respawn — die and you're out. It's pure, fast PvP.
BedWars: protect your bed
Teams each have a bed on their island. As long as your bed exists, you respawn after dying. The goal: destroy every enemy team's bed, then eliminate their players. Losing your bed means your next death is permanent. It rewards both PvP skill and resource strategy (upgrading gear at the villager).
Quick comparison
SkyWars: solo/small teams, no respawns, quick rounds.
BedWars: teams, bed = respawn token, longer strategic matches.
