Nintendo Switch Minecraft Servers — Crossplay Guide

The Nintendo Switch runs Minecraft Bedrock Edition, so it shares the Bedrock server world with Xbox, PlayStation, mobile, and Windows. Here's how Switch multiplayer and servers work, including the crossplay details.

Switch is Bedrock too

Like every console, the Switch uses Bedrock Edition. That means Switch players can join the same Bedrock servers as Xbox, PlayStation, mobile, and Windows Bedrock — true crossplay. Java servers (PC/Mac/Linux) are off-limits.

Adding a server on Switch

  1. From the menu, go to PlayServers.
  2. Choose Add Server, then enter the name, IP, and port (Bedrock default 19132).
  3. Save and join. Featured partner servers are joinable with one tap.
