PS4/PS5 Minecraft Servers — What You Can Actually Join
PlayStation 4 and 5 both run Minecraft Bedrock Edition, which means they share the Bedrock server ecosystem — not Java. Here's exactly what you can join from a PS4 or PS5 and how.
PS4/PS5 = Bedrock Edition
Both consoles run the Bedrock version of Minecraft. That puts them in the same cross-play pool as Xbox, Switch, mobile, and Windows 10/11 Bedrock — so they can all join the same Bedrock servers. They cannot join Java-only servers (those are PC/Mac/Linux).
How to join a server on PS5/PS4
- From the main menu, go to Play → Servers.
- Scroll to Add Server and enter the server name, IP, and port (Bedrock default
19132). - Save and connect. You can also join featured partner servers directly from the list.
Find Bedrock servers to join
Browse our Bedrock server list for communities with live player counts. Copy the IP and paste it in — many support cross-play with mobile and Xbox too. For the full cross-play picture, see our crossplay guide.
